Question about my pups?

They have just turned 8 months old. One weight around eight pounds, the other around nine pounds. They are purebred cavalier king charles spaniels.
The problem is, I have just saw a picture of another 8-month-old cavalier who looks competely different. Not different breed, just grown up more with longer ears and coat. My pups haven’t looked any different other then size since we got them at 12 weeks. Can somebody tell me when they are suppose to grow out there coat?

Generally by one year they should look like what they will as adults. Do you know for sure that they are pure? Most cavaliers are about 15 pounds full grown and they should be at their full weight at 8 months. If you have seen the parents then you could tell what their hair will look like. But if you got them from a bad breeder, a pet store or the shelter there’s a good chance they aren’t pure.
