Cold Steel Knives

I just saw this amazing variety act on the television. Well, I say amazing, but I suppose I really mean completely mad and scary really! There was a chap on there who was juggling with cold steel knives he was very good at it but I still thought it was a huge risk. I could not imagine doing that. I own several knives and I would not like to juggle with them. I can juggle a little bit and although I am not that good, i woudl still be very wary of juggling these things. Not only are they small and hard to catch, they are unbelievably sharp.

I think that it is rather a silly thing to do! I have never been tepted to juggle my Buck knives or my Benchmade knives and I cannot understand why anyone would think it was a good idea. Juggling with fire is bad enough but I suppose people do that because there has been a long tradition of people doing it, not that I see that as a good reason! However, the knife thing is completely barmy in my opinion and I woudl not like to see anyone else trying to do it, however good at juggling they think they are – they might find they were juggling their fingers next!

My Mum has suffered with bad knees

My Mum has suffered with bad knees for a very long time. She seems to almost have a weakness there and finds that if she stumbles or trips, it means that she strains it again and it is very painful for her. I have found this knee wrap which I have suggested that she wears as a support all of the time to try to prevent her injuring herself. She was a bit reluctant to try it but I told her that she should just give it a try for a few weeks and see whether it is any help for her. She has agreed.

I think she likes using the gel pack on them really, but they are great when she has an injury but not a preventative thing. I think it is when she walks in fields where there are lots of rabbit holes or on roads with lots of pot holes she tends to step in the holes and put pressure awkwardly on her knees. I have given her some colpac as well so if the knee wrap is not effective then she can use that to help her injuries if necessary. Hopefully it will work and she will be injury free for a while.

Junior Bridesmaid Dresses

I am going to a wedding on Saturday and it has been so stressful to organise. I hope that the bride and groom really enjoy themselves on the day to make up for all of the stress that they have had organising things. They got engages in February and decided to have the wedding that summer as they saw no point in waiting. The problem was that they had no time to save up and many of the places were booked up. They have found a nice hotel to hold the ceremony and reception which is good.

However, leaving things to the last minute meant that she had to buy junior bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses that she was not completely happy with because they were the only ones that she could find. She even had to buy a dress that she was not fully happy with. Their house had been on the market and it sold and they had to move house two weeks before the wedding and still had wedding planning and things to do. She only bought her shoes the week before and the speeches were written a few days before. It was all a bit hectic!
